{"id":7565,"date":"2023-03-22T15:54:22","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T14:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hb9sota.ch\/?page_id=7565"},"modified":"2025-01-06T19:12:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T18:12:57","slug":"regulations-alpine-summits-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hb9sota.ch\/en\/regulations-alpine-summits-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Rules for the Alpine Summits diplomas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n<p>The SOTA Group Switzerland diplomas described in this document have been designed to reward activations and connections on Swiss mountains.<\/p>\n\n<p>The following diplomas can be obtained:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Activator diploma<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chaser diploma<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The diplomas are open to all radio amateurs and SWLs, whereby SWLs can only achieve the Chaser diploma.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diploma levels<\/h2>\n\n<p>Both diplomas are divided into the following three levels:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Alpine rose<\/strong><\/td><td>20 different peaks between 2000 &#8211; 2999 m above sea level. M.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Gentian<\/strong><\/td><td>10 different peaks between 3000 &#8211; 3999 m above sea level. M.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Edelweiss<\/strong><\/td><td>1 summit from 4000 m a.s.l. M.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<p>The diplomas must be completed in order, which means that you ultimately need 31 peaks for the Edelweiss diploma.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program start<\/h2>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Activator diploma<\/td><td>May 13, 2023<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Chaser diploma<\/td><td>May 13, 2023<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basics<\/h2>\n\n<p>The general rules of the SOTA UK program apply.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diploma application<\/h2>\n\n<p>The application for a diploma can be made directly via the SOTA Group Switzerland website.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diploma authorization<\/h2>\n\n<p>Only the logs in the SOTA database are valid for diploma authorization. There is <strong>NO<\/strong> need to send in QSL cards.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Costs<\/h2>\n\n<p>The diplomas are free of charge for members of the SOTA Group Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n<p>Non-members receive the diplomas for a fee of <strong>CHF 10<\/strong> each.
